11.23.05 Gators Game Report vs Westside Cycles

On Thanksgiving eve, the Gators took on Westside Cycles missing an entire line of forwards, a defenseman, and starting goaltender Jerry Suplicki. Jim Suplicki subbed at goal and did an outstanding job for the Gators.

Westside Cycles struck first, but soon after that Chris Ryan took advantage of a rebound that bounced right to him and he beat the West Side goalie to tie it at 1.

WSC then began to pull away and had a 4-1 lead before the Gators would score again on a strange play off a faceoff. Rowe dumped the puck in on goal after the faceoff and the WSC goalie lost it in his skates. As he turned completely around with his back facing the shooter, Rowe found what he was looking for and tapped it across the goal line to bring the Gators back within 2 at 4-2.

Frank Warner showed Westside the game wasn't over yet as he ripped a shot from the point that found the twine. Momentum stalled for the Gators though as WSC was able to come up with 2 more insurance goals to salt this one away at 6-3.
