02.06.06 Game Report vs The Buffaloes
The Gators claimed yet another win in this past Monday's game against The Buffaloes. Despite a slower second period, the guys were on fire all night. As always, Dave Salafia (15) was a key player on offense, leading the team with a total of four goals that night, as well as helping out with one assist. Even more impressive was Salafia's defensive game: all we saw was a streak of tan rush from one end of the ice right down to Jerry Suplicki's (35) net, in order to get the puck back. Scott Magin also scored and assisted one for the Gator's that night, hoping to impress Brian Pasono's Mom. Brian Pasono (17) led in assists with four, and one goal, followed by Brian Drake (18) with two assists, and Frank Warner (5) with one, and one penalty. Also found in the penalty box was Chris Ryan (27). The Buffaloes were tough opponents, but defense kept up. Warner did a great job for his height, and beat his player almost every time. Jim Suplicki (19) also had a great defensive game, and was given a bit of a hard time by the other team, but took it all in stride. Brian Drake also played both sides well, and angered his player enough to send him into the penalty box. The goalie did his job, and did it well. Jerry Suplicki held defense together with a total of 26 saves, keeping the Buffaloes from scoring all the way the middle of the second period, and assisted twice. Great game! Gators - 6, Buffaloes - 3
